As we launch into the new year, we’re pausing to consider the past decade which we spent conceiving (2010), launching (2011) and then growing (still happening!) the digital publishing house that is Toque & Canoe.

It’s been quite a ride (check out our history here) and if we had a massive crush on travel culture in this country before we launched, we’re even more smitten now.

In other words, our affection for and commitment to the Canadian travel community has grown deeper, richer and more fierce than ever.

As we gear up for 2020 — with new stories coming your way that we hope will continue to inspire you off your couches and into your backyard and beyond — we’re especially grateful to those who keep us paddling into the future.

We’re talking about our small but mighty circle of creatives, our always growing audience of followers from across Canada and around the world and our thoughtfully curated travel partners who make what we do possible.

We also want to tip our toques to the hard-working cast of characters — whose passion for what they do is beyond inspiring — working on the frontlines of Canada’s travel industry.

For ten years now, we’ve been building relationships from coast to coast to coast and nothing excites us more than knowing new friendships are waiting around the corner.

A warm cheers again to all who are helping us write our story as we step boldly into 2020. May there be awesome Canadian adventures in everyone’s future!
